Transtelecom (TTS) announces a partnership with Starlink to implement satellite technologies in Kazakhstan.
Astana, Kazakhstan – Transtelecom Joint Stock Company (TTC) has officially secured its status as a Starlink partner. The collaboration aims to scale up the Starlink satellite internet network in the Republic of Kazakhstan to provide connectivity to hard-to-reach and remote communities.
At the current stage of the project, Transtelecom is demonstrating rapid infrastructure deployment. More than 600 terminals have already been commissioned in remote rural areas across the country.
The use of the Starlink low-orbit satellite constellation allows TTS to address the digital divide in regions with complex geographic terrain. Unlike traditional geostationary satellites, SpaceX's technology provides:
• Minimal latency: critical for real-time video services, telemedicine, and educational platforms.
• High bandwidth: guaranteeing stable access to heavy content and corporate systems.
The project is of strategic importance for human capital development. High-quality internet provides rural residents with equal access to government services, modern education, and global information resources.
