TTC Completes the First Stage of GPON Deployment in the Village of Saumalkol

KokshetauTTC Connects the First Homes to the Fiber-Optic Network, Launching the Modernization of the Village’s Digital Infrastructure

Transtelecom JSC has completed the first stage of upgrading the telecommunications infrastructure in the village of Saumalkol, North Kazakhstan Region. As part of the project, KokshetauTTC specialists deployed GPON technology, providing high-speed Internet access.

Connection of the First Group of Households

At this stage, fiber-optic communication lines have been laid and the first subscribers have been connected. Thanks to the transition to GPON, residents now have access to a stable and high-performance Internet connection, which represents a significant improvement compared to the previously used ADSL technology.

The introduction of a fiber-optic infrastructure enables further development of communication services, improved service quality, and uninterrupted access to modern digital platforms.

Significance of the Project for the Region

Prior to the project, the village had no fiber-optic network, limiting residents’ access to modern telecommunications services. Connecting the first homes marks an important step in creating a modern digital environment essential for:

* distance learning,

* remote work,

* accessing government services online,

* using high-bitrate multimedia content.

Residents have already noted increased connection stability and faster data transmission.

Planned Development

Modernization efforts will continue: upcoming stages include expanding GPON coverage and connecting the remaining households. The company is consistently developing fiber-optic networks across the regions to ensure the availability of modern telecommunications services for residents throughout the country.

Transtelecom JSC continues to strengthen its position in digital infrastructure development by implementing high-tech solutions and improving the quality of communication services in the regions of Kazakhstan.
