Staff training
The number of employees who underwent training and professional development in 2023 amounted to 1,159 people, including 1,107 production staff and 52 administrative staff. 40 specialists of Transtelecom JSC were certified, including in the field of information security, economics and finance, information technology infrastructure, network equipment, routing and virtualization.

Social policy
Social policy of Transtelecom JSC, as a motivation tool, directly affects staff satisfaction, which in turn affects the production and economic performance of Transtelecom JSC. It is aimed at improving the quality of life of Transtelecom JSC employees, providing assistance and support to persons in need of social assistance (employees, pensioners, veterans of World War II and persons equated to them, etc.), increasing staff satisfaction indicators.

Expenditures on social benefits for 2023 amounted to 618,459 thousand KZT, which is 77% of 2022. On average, the costs per employee of Transtelecom JSC in 2023 amounted to 239 thousand KZT.
Sports and health
In 2023, the Spartakiada event was resumed and was held in Oskemen in June 2023. Teams from all regions participated in the VI Summer Spartakiade. According to the results of the competitions held, the team from the central office took first place.
The trade union of Transtelecom JSC actively participates in the life of the Company. For example, during 2023 the trade union provided financial assistance for treatment of employees, children and close relatives. Events, gift certificates for the holidays CU 8, Nauryz meiramy were organized.
This year 10 volunteers visited 20 veterans and 5 home front workers.
For the Children’s Day,annual events are held for children of employees, certificates to entertainment centers and children’s cafes were issued, and gifts were purchased.
Voluntary medical insurance
Every year employees of Transtelecom JSC use voluntary health insurance services. In 2023, the Company concluded a contract with Halyk Insurance Company JSC. During the year, 5,642 people used insurance services, of which 2,442 employees and 3,200 family members. The amount of the insurance bonus amounted to 317,737 thousand KZT.

Every year, on the threshold of the professional holiday «Day of communication and informatization», «Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan» Transtelecom JSC is awarded with departmental awards for labor achievements and significant contribution to the communication industry.
This year the Ministry of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry (MDDIAI) awarded 12 honored employees of Transtelecom JSC, including 6 employees were awarded the high honorary title «Best Communicator» for their great contribution to the development of communication in the field of informatization, achievement of high labor results, professionalism and mentoring.
6 employees of the Company were awarded with certificates of merit and letters of appreciation from MDDIAI.

Transtelecom JSC – carrying out its activities in the field of provision of telecommunication and IT services, implementation of projects, development and operation of infrastructure, fully realizes that the activities of Transtelecom JSC, as well as any other production activities, have an impact on the environment.
The telecommunications sector has a relatively low environmental impact compared to other industries. Transtelecom JSC recognizes its responsibility for the impact on the environment, health, safety and quality of life.
Takes all necessary measures to ensure environmental safety, preservation of the natural environment and rational use of natural resources. Respect natural resources and minimize their use. Reduce environmental impact to achieve sustainable development.
Management of environmental aspects of the Company’s activities The environmental management system (EMS) is an integral part of the corporate governance system and an important part of the non-financial risk management system. Transtelecom JSC is certified in accordance with the international and national standard ISO 14001 and strives to continuously improve its EMS.
Internal EMS documents are in place to maintain the EMS in working order and to continuously improve its indicators:
- Environmental policy of Transtelecom JSC;
- Goals, objectives and programs in the field of environmental management;
- Waste management of production and consumption;
- Instructions for handling medical waste;
- Handling of mercury-containing equipment and materials;
- Identification and assessment of environmental aspects (hereinafter – EA);
- EA Registry;
- Register of significant EA;
- Register of regulatory requirements;
- The EMS Manual.
In 2023, Transtelecom JSC passed an inspection audit for compliance with the requirements of the international and national standard ISO 14001 in the field of environmental protection.
Transtelecom JSC strictly complies with the requirements of the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and constantly implements a number of measures aimed at reducing the negative impact on the environment. Environmental protection costs consist of several parts:
- environmental payments for emissions of pollutants into the atmospheric air, content of pollutants at waste water discharge, disposal of production and consumption waste;
- investments in the development of draft standards for maximum permissible emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere and obtaining permits for emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere, development of environmental impact assessment projects.
No comments were received from regulatory authorities for the period 2022-2023.
For 2023, there are no fines and other non-financial sanctions imposed for non-compliance with environmental legislation.

Transtelecom JSC also strives to reduce the negative impact of our activities on the atmospheric environment by constantly introducing technological improvements and contributing to the reduction of pollutant emissions. For this purpose, Transtelecom JSC uses environmentally friendly and energy-efficient production technologies that reliably reduce pollutant emissions into the atmosphere.
To manage the environmental aspect, Transtelecom JSC has established an environmental management system (EMS), which is an integral part of the corporate governance system and an essential part of the non-financial risk management system. Transtelecom JSC is certified for compliance with ISO 14001 international standard and works on continuous improvement of the EMS.

Procurement in Transtelecom JSC was carried out in accordance with the Policy of Procurement of Goods, Works and Services of Transtelecom JSC and the Rules of Procurement Management of Transtelecom JSC approved by the decision of the Management Board of Transtelecom JSC dated September 02, 2021.
The total volume of procurement of Transtelecom JSC for 2023 amounted to 15,913,168 thousand KZT, including purchased goods in the amount of 3,988,423 thousand KZT, works in the amount of 4,136,081 thousand KZT and services in the amount of 7,788,662 thousand KZT. In general, Transtelecom JSC carries out all necessary measures to optimize procurement activities, develop production capacities and achieve strategic goals.
